Bingo - Blingo

Compliance receives many questions regarding playing bingo. Compliance cannot give a single answer to all inquiries about bingo. However, we can offer guidelines to assist a Consultant in determining whether or not they would be allowed to play bingo. Please review the following questions to determine if you would be compliant.

  1. Does your state regulate bingo? In some states, playing bingo is considered gambling and is regulated. Paparazzi does not allow gambling. Consultants are required to familiarize themselves with their federal, state, and local laws so they do not violate those laws, whether bingo is played during Lives or in person.
  2. How does the player obtain a card? Is the player required to pay a fee for a card or pay a fee to attend the event where bingo is being played? Requiring payment of a fee for a card or to enter an event where bingo is being played is a violation of Paparazzi Policies and Procedures. It is considered requiring a purchase for a giveaway or a chance to win a giveaway.
  3. Can I give a bingo card with a purchase of Paparazzi Accessory? No, as this is considered requiring a purchase for a giveaway or a chance to win a giveaway.
  4. Are there restrictions on who can play bingo? All attendees are eligible to play bingo. There can be no cover charge or entrance fee to attend. There can be no charge to play or obtain a card, and no purchase of any kind can be required. Consultants must also comply with any state or local law regarding playing bingo.
  5. Can I give prizes to the bingo game winners? Prizes can be awarded to the bingo game winners. However, it is a violation of Paparazzi Policies and Procedures to give away non-Paparazzi prizes.
  6. Can I offer Paparazzi accessories for sale while playing bingo? Yes, Paparazzi accessories can be offered for sale to attendees/players. However, players cannot be required to make a purchase. Additional bingo cards cannot be given along with or as part of the purchase of Paparazzi Accessories.
  7. Can I charge for refreshments, meals, or a beverage while playing bingo? Refreshments, a meal, and/or beverages can be offered. However, the purchase of a refreshment, meal, or beverage cannot be required to participate in the games or bingo. Consultants must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding handling or sales of food or beverages. Consultants must also comply with all Paparazzi Policies and Procedures including the restriction that prohibits offering, promoting, or selling non-Paparazzi alongside Paparazzi.
