GIFT WRAPPING, GIFT BOXES, GIFT BASKETS AND OTHER CONTAINERS
Generally:
Paparazzi Policies and Procedures state that non-Paparazzi items cannot be offered, sold, or given away alongside Paparazzi. Gift wrapping, gift boxes, and baskets would be included in this restriction. However, Paparazzi has made an exception to this restriction as it relates to gift wrapping, gift bags, and gift boxes or other containers. A Consultant is allowed to offer gift wrapping, gift boxes, gift baskets, etc., provided the Consultant does not charge for the gift wrap, box, basket, etc.
Definition of "container"? Consultants are allowed to wrap or box items for customers as long as the Consultant does not charge for the wrapping, box, basket, etc. The basket, box, or gift wrap is viewed as an acceptable container. An organza bag is viewed as an acceptable container. Christmas ornaments or plastic eggs that open up are approved as containers to place Paparazzi Accessories inside. A Christmas stocking is also allowed. Only Paparazzi Accessories can be put inside. The Paparazzi tags cannot be removed from the items. Containers that were originally designed for another purpose or use are NOT allowed. This would include items such as purses, cups, shoes, hats, etc.
Gift Wrapping and Gift Boxes:
A Consultant can offer gift wrapping and/or gift boxing to customers. However, the Consultant should not charge for these services, as it is considered as selling non-Paparazzi alongside Paparazzi.
Gift Baskets:
The Paparazzi Policies and Procedures state that non-Paparazzi items cannot be offered, sold, or given away alongside Paparazzi. Paparazzi has made an exception to allow the use of gift baskets for Paparazzi Accessories only. A gift basket that contains only Paparazzi Accessories would be allowed, so long as there is no charge for the basket (or any filler such as raffia, "grass," cellophane, bows, etc.). Non-Paparazzi should not be included in the gift baskets. The baskets should be sold for the amount of the Accessories inside with no charge for the basket, wrapping, filler, etc.
Christmas Ornaments and Easter Eggs:
A Consultant can put Paparazzi Accessories in a clear ornament that is made to come apart and be filled. A Consultant can also put Accessories into plastic eggs. However, the following restrictions apply:
- The Accessories are not to be re-labeled, repackaged or have the labels removed. Doing so is a violation of Section 5.4 of Policies and Procedures. Removing the labels to allow insertion into an ornament or any type of container is a violation.
- The Consultant should not charge for the ornament, egg, or other containers.
- Non-Paparazzi should not be included in the ornament or egg. (No candy, stickers, etc.)
- The cost to the customer for the filled ornament, egg, etc., cannot exceed the price of the Paparazzi Accessories inside. For example, if there are 3 rings inside, the cost must be $15. The Consultant can still charge sales tax and/or shipping.
Bath Bombs:
Paparazzi does not recommend putting the Paparazzi Accessories into bath bombs. It is a violation to repackage the products or to remove the tags. There is also a potential for the Accessories to be damaged.
