SOCIAL MEDIA GROUP SITES, INCLUDING GARAGE SALE, BUY-SELL-TRADE, ISO, YARD SALE, AND OTHER GROUP SITES

Historically, Consultants were only permitted to post general advertisements and recruiting content in garage sale, yard sale, and third-party group sites, and were not allowed to sell individual items or host live sales in those spaces.

Facebook Marketplace has been an exception since 2020, where selling for all purposes has been allowed. Recently, Policy has change to allow selling at online vendor events which are very similar to the garage sale, yard sale, and third-party group sites.

With the continued expansion of our “Selling Alongside” guidelines, we are moving away from that previous distinction about the garage sale, yard sale, and third party group sites. Consultants may now sell individual items and host live sales within garage sale, yard sale, and other third-party group sites.

This change reflects our broader approach to providing more flexibility in how Consultants can run their businesses across platforms.
