WHEN A BOUTIQUE HAS A WEBSITE
A boutique is defined as a store (online or brick-and-mortar) that sells a mixture of products—Paparazzi Accessories and non-Paparazzi products. A Consultant can have a brick-and-mortar store where Paparazzi and non-Paparazzi are sold in the same building. Please see the information for a brick-and-mortar boutique.
If a boutique has an online presence on social media, please see the information for an online store. Those requirements differ somewhat from a website. If a boutique has a stand-alone website with its own unique domain name (not the replicated website), please keep in mind the following:
On a boutique website, you are allowed a navigation link that takes a shopper to a unique URL where only Paparazzi is sold. In turn, the Paparazzi website may have a navigation link that takes a shopper to the boutique site.
Pursuant to Section 5.10 of the Policies and Procedures, “Paparazzi products must not be displayed or sold alongside any other product(s). This policy extends to all online forums including but not limited to websites, shopping carts, and social media platforms.” When shopping on a Paparazzi sales website, a person should not be able to see Paparazzi Accessories pictured with non-Paparazzi products at any time. In turn, when shopping on the boutique website, a shopper should not see Paparazzi Accessories at any time. The non-Paparazzi products and the Paparazzi Accessories should never be shown together. This includes a clearance sale, home page, general catalog, shopping cart, etc. This restriction does not include the navigation link.
Paparazzi should not be displayed with other products. This means that, on the Paparazzi website, Paparazzi should not be pictured alongside other products in photographs taken in the boutique. Any pictures from the brick-and-mortar boutique that appear on the Paparazzi sales website should be of Paparazzi Accessories only.
The Consultant must abide by all the Policies and Procedures.
- A Consultant cannot offer discounts or sales on the Accessories.
- A Consultant can sell gift certificates to customers for third-party use to purchase Accessories from the Consultant’s inventory, but the Consultant cannot give away coupons or gift certificates. PAPARAZZI GIFT CERTIFICATE/GIFT CARD
- All Paparazzi Accessories must be sold for the mandated prices ($5/$25).
- The Consultant and the store must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and ordinances regarding business licenses, zoning, sales and use tax, etc.
- The Zi Collection must be clearly identified and separated from the $5 Accessories so there is no confusion as to price. However, Zi Collection may still be a part of the overall Paparazzi sales.
- The website name must be compliant—it cannot include “Paparazzi” or “Paparazzi Accessories.” (There is an exception for social media, but that does not extend to stand-alone websites.)
- For signs and advertising, if the word(s) “Paparazzi” and/or “Paparazzi Accessories” are used in any advertising, the Consultant must include the Independent Consultant Logo, unaltered, from the Back Office. It should be clear that the website belongs to an Independent Consultant and not to corporate Paparazzi.
- There cannot be ads for other products or services on a Paparazzi website.
